Try Something New for 30 Days

January 30, 2016

It turns out thirty days is just about the right amount of time to create a new habit, or eliminate an old one which isn't serving you.

A friend recently pointed my towards this simple yet effective TED talk by Google engineer, Matt Cutts. She is making February her month of change, as let's face it with the truth for most of us... January is mainly about recovery from the festive season and deciding what we want from the coming year.

Whether it be practising yoga daily, writing a series of short stories, working remotely or researching a new business idea,  dedicating thirty days to a new habit is do-able and can really make a difference.

I recently commited 30 days to breaking the terrible habit of smoking; I'm on day 59 now and determined to continue.

Cutts seems to be a constant cycle of 30-day challenges and I like his sense of purpose; why not keep setting new challenges and let the changes enhance our lives?

Is there something you've always meant to do, but wanted to do, but just haven't... yet? I'd love to hear about the 30-day challenge(s) you set yourself. Drop me a line to let me know how you get on!

What can you do now?
